About Tom Murphrey Law

Tom Murphrey was born and raised in Texas, under the influence of his grandfather, a construction worker and businessman. Mr. Murphrey had his first paper route by age 9 and his first summer job by age 12. He supported himself 100% through college and law school.

Prior to becoming an attorney, Mr. Murphrey completed a seminary education at Midwestern Theological Seminary, with a focus on psychology, counseling and moral ethics. He worked as an ordained minister for 8 years before attending law school.

Mr. Murphrey received his law degree from the University of Missouri Law School in 1990, and immediately moved to Nevada, passed the bar exam, and began a legal clerkship under Judge Michael Fondi in the First Judicial District Court, Carson City, Nevada.

He then served 4 years as a deputy district attorney in northern Nevada where he prosecuted over 60 trials, with a winning trial percentage rate of 85%. In 1995, he moved to Las Vegas and began working for an established personal injury law firm specializing in catastrophic spinal and brain injury cases, including multi-million dollar cases. Toward the end of 1995, Mr. Murphrey opened his own office, which he has maintained until the present.

Through the litigation of hundreds of lawsuits, Mr. Murphrey has faced every type of delay tactic, legal maneuver, and misrepresentation imaginable. These experiences have only strengthened his resolve to expose wrongdoers and make them pay for their conduct.
